Got his work cut out for him. I mean, THE Ohio State lost to Michigan this year and wound up 6-6, 3-5. Welcome back to the spotlight, Urban Meyer!

Meyer has the reputation of turning around programs. In less than two years at Utah he got them a bcs bowl win. In 6 years at Florida he won two national titles. Ohio St always pulls the north's best recruits so he will have good players, but they aint no SEC style players. The state of Ohio has some of the nations best prep schools for football and is one of the top states in college athelets. I hate Ohio St but I predict in two years they will be boasting a national championship.

I doubt it. Not enough talent there, and he wont be able to draw in as many recruits as he wants due to sanctions. Plus he hasn't shown to be the greatest talent evaluator. More of a star gazer. Just look at UFs roster now with all of his kids.

I don't see him getting a NC at Ohio either, he may get close and play for it if he can get Dan Mullen back on his staff as OC and his ability to recruit and develop qb's.

Urban Meyer will play for a title in two years. Book it, write it in stone.
They may not win it, but they will play for it.

He has his quarterback, Braxton Miller, he has TONS of talent on both sides (this is tOSU after all), and an easy path. Ohio has talent; not quite Florida talent but theres no other state that can lay claim to their state like OSU can. Michigan is better, but if tOSU is good they get Ohio talent, plus loads of PA kids. Its not quite the Southeast, hell GA is better than PA and FL dwarfs OH, but hes not competing in the SEC either.

This is the sweetest setup of all time for him, and tOSU will be a consistent top 5 team maybe as early as next year.

Urban knew this was coming, thats why he left UF. He knew the shit was about to hit the fan in Columbus and that Tressel was most likely out in a year or two. He knew he wanted to be in Ohio, be the 'savior', and coach in an easier conference.

Meyer won two titles at UF, and in hindsight he will REGRET leaving UF, but he is happy now and tOSU should be too.

I can agree with that. He will have a good 2-3 year run, but no titles and level off from there to be a team that sometimes makes an appearance in the Big 10 title game.
